Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

It kinda looks like the screen is cracking when you push the center of the scroll wheel.

Anyways, I wonder if they will somehow let the screen give tactile feed back (a little physical click when you push on it).

Looks more like talk of a tablet Mac than an iPod. iPhoto wouldn't be on an iPod, just OS X.

If it was not already obvious, it's fake. I checked the US Patent Office. Also do you really think that a company that is based on their beautiful design and interfaces would submit something so cheesy?

Blake, maybe you didn't check hard enough: U.S. Patent Application 20060026535. At the bottom of the page, click the images button. There's 72 pages in that section, and you'll notice on the first page, if you scroll around a bit, some of those images included in the link above. So, unless somehow someone hacked the U.S. Patent office, and posted an "obvious" fake, this is legit.

There's a difference between a patent and an actual implementation of a product, I would think. Especially for such an innovative company. One thing seems more and more believable though: Apple is looking at touch screens.

people patent things all the time, that doesn't mean its going to be a actual physical product. Patents also can take a long time to go through. But this seems to be the big thing on the net right now, and touch screen ipod.

Yeah, I thought I spelt existence incorrectly, Safari usually picks up on that. Maybe Newsvine could implement a spell checker in the seeding pop-up window. OR. Maybe all keyboards should have built in spell check...

... As or for dupes. I thought Newsvine was doing a good job with their seeding pop-up window letting you know if the site you are about to seed has already been linked to. I guess a lot of people don't use that button they provide for you to drag into your browser bookmarks.
